"updated" cover, oil filter

I have a 2007 Tuono and my local dealer no longer sells the original oil filter so I ordered the "updated" cover and oil filter. The filter is too long!? I put the original cover on a book to match the base of the new cover and took some pics. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

The standard filter is readily available from AF1, Eurosport Cycles and genrally at Cyclegear. your local dealer needs to do a better job.

I purchased the longer filters thinking it is recommended by Aprilia?

Everything fits now...just had to forcefully (too much force) push filter into cover before installing.
