Who do you UK guys use ? and more importantly why ?

Would you use an Aprilia dealer (if out of warranty) or happy with another mechanic you know and trust ?

one you know and trust or even do it yourself

I'm fine with a good chunk of components, once we get to the engine though i'm a little more vague. I've done valve clearances before but only on screw type not shim. Also don't have any knowledge of O2 settings and TPS stuff etc.

Anything else though is within my skills.

ahm pish at the technical stuff,,,, a can ile change etc, an a dinae mind admitting it, but ahm a guid jiner lol,,,,, ma neebur alan bennie does ma work, hes **** hot, he ay builds his ain bikes fae the grund up for the tt every year, and hes fussy as ****, and he does it fir feck all, as a dae his jiner work, guid deal,,,,,,,

Ive heard good things about Griff. He's only 20 miles from me so i'll be going there when the warranty is up.

One of the very best in the UK for Apes is Southern Cross in Kilburn.

Don who runs the place races an RSVR and the service they give even to passing trade is nothing short of awesome.

Sadly they are no longer official Aprilia dealers, but if you are out of warranty they are definitely worth the trip.

I know Don from his New Era days a few years back, him and my mate were the only 2 blokes running Milles so him and Don were good buddies. Obviously as i was his spanner guy i got to know Don too.
Until yesterday i wasn't aware Don was at Southern Cross :)

They've now moved up my list of potential dealers to use.
