Tyres for the Mille

Hi Guys/Girls,

I am looking into buying a new set of tyres for my 2002 Mille and my mind is telling me Michelin Pilot Power CT2, however I am torn between Supercorsa or Racetec. I do like to get a good lean.

My 2002 is on CT2's, they were on there when i bought it, I personally don't like them, too pointy, gonna leave them on for now but go back to pirelli in the spring, probably Diablo Corsa III if that's any help.

thanks for your help guys, its good to get views of other bikers it also helps with the possibility of wasting 200 QUID.

2CT for me. 2nd set now Run em at 33/37 you will love em good in all conds.

thanks Ken, much appreciated, I think I will stick with the 2CT as they are ok in the damp where as the Supercorsa or Racetec do not like damp.

OK buddy. I see your in West yorkshire. Do you get across Kirby Lonsdale at all ? I ride in Morecambe in the summer there are a few of us over that way ? Ride safe Ken.

Hi Ken,

there are quite a few of us out on Devils Bridge in the summer. Ill give you a shout and we can meet up as we all own RSVR's and some vey special Custom bikes, similar to my own.

i've got Racetec's in mine atm but i've got a new 2CT rear sat in the garage so once the racetec's die, i'll be getting a front 2CT to try. tbh i've had loads of different makes of sport tyre's on my various bikes and, for the road, i've never noticed much differance.....:dunno

when i next need to get a pair, i'll be going for sportsmarts, great grip & decent wear

You are aware that Metzeler and Pirelli are one and the same company, aren't you?

So the the Racetec and the (Diablo) Supercorsa are essentially the same tyre (even the compounds are the same: Metz=K0,1,2,3; Pirelli=SC0,1,2,3).

Metzys are usually a few quid cheaper than the Pirellis, which is why I use them.

i do not believe that hey are exactly the same tyres even the companies owner or management is the same. and even if they would they would be having different shape at least.
