Tyres for Gen 2 Aprilia Tuono

Guys need your help please.

Got Metzeler Rennsport 120/190 tyres on my 08/09 Tuono.

They aren't available according to Camskill in Whitehaven (my usual tyre specialist), but they can do a Sportec M1 or M5 or Road tec Z6.

Am impressed by the Rennsports (slicks with small treads

)
but don't wanna pay alot and want something to match the fron Metz Rennsport.

Been offered a Sporttec M1 fitted Â£94 is this compatible?

any advicewould be appreciated ?

Any manufacturer will tell you only the same tyres are compatible

They only test tyres of the same type together and they would be on a sticky wicket if they said it was ok to mix tyres

But lots of people do this especially if they ride through winter

The problems would be whether the handling is affected, the tyres will have non matching profiles even from the same manufacturer

So basically you can try them and see what happens or change both

The M1 was a good tyre but its 2 generations old M1 M3 M5, its cheap as its been lying around

Is it 190/50 or 190/55

Dynamo eneded up with a 190/50 ZR 17 Metz Racetec M1 Â£94 squid fitted

However just read manual it states the Metz racetec as a 190/55 ZR 17

Have I fitted the wrong one? (190/50 ZR 17 Metz Racetec M1 was like sized replacement for the worn out Rennsport)
