Hi guys"¦"¦.just bought an immaculate Tuono 2004 one owner 6800 miles blue flame exhaust, but it needs new tyres. I live in the UK & ride in all weathers so would appreciate suggestions from your experience.
cheers

Nice find. Pictures or it didn't happen.

I run Michelin power pilot 3's with a 180 rear (as opposed too the 190 - see thread rear tire sizes and makes for info on that) and can't rate them highly enough. This bike is ridden in Wellington NZ all year round (same weather as southern UK).

Do a search on tyres, there's loads of threads on them & its a personal thing.
Tyres these days are all good.

Biggest issue is how long they last.

Life of the tyres is not as important as the length of my life.

I have had PR3s and like them, just pulling a set of Metzler Interact M5s off as they take too much to heat up, and cool down real fast, and so I hate (don't trust) them in damp weather

Going to Diablo Rosso II this time

Thanks for the suggestions guys. My mechanic suggested Bridgestone bt 016 & 190/55 for the rear. Other people say these are fun in the dry but iffy in the wet and won't last long! It's all a learning curve!!

A bt016 will give you plenty of grip but if you like winding the throttle on they will ware down very quickly but depends on your riding. Why not try a BT023 or even a T30 if your not too agressive ?

Look on that other thread I mentioned about running 180's instead of 190's
