Hey lads anyone on here using supercorsa sp's on there bikes ,i love them bloody brilliant but ive just noticed that the rear tyre has a small crack right round the side wall on both sides:eek:hadnt noticed it before and thinkin its to do with the previous owner having the bike from new and only doin 970 miles in the first year in total theyve only done just over 2 thou miles has anyone had this or somthin similar:devious:thumbup:biggrin

tyres do perish with age hard to say with out seeing i've knacked tyres in less than 1500 miles on previous road bikes dont know what to expect out of the mille and corsa's :)

Should have said m8, these are off a 2010 triumph daytona 675,i dropped the pressures my last trackday but didnt worry about it as the tyres are designed for tracks the bike has two months left of its warranty the date stamp on the tyre says there exactly two years old again i didn't think that was bad ive bought older track tyres than that before.i have another track day in october do you think they'll be ok ??????....

Bryan mate, it depends how they're stored!! If they were on the bike, sitting in a freexing cold concrete floored garage, that'll give them a real hard time and cause the cracking!! I know a guy who has 2 pairs of 180/55 Dunlop gp racer ntecs for £125 a pair. If you need new ones.......10 laps of oulton is all they've done!! I bought two sets of the 190/55's off him and they're mint!!!

Andi i might be up for that but the last dunlops i had where oe qualifiers that came wi the z750 and they were gash, i do like the supercorsa's but i just priced a set fitted for £280 so that seams like a bargain but wot are they like are they comparable to the supercorsa's, to tell you the truth its the first time ive ever needed to swap a front before the rear the rear isn't near the tells but the front is as bald as me,and that effin bald,i'll do a bit of research and let you know but sounds good to me ,i'll be up at the hill in a few weeks and desperate to break into the 58's but not wi tyres that could come flying off .....

I have had this issue with the latest Racetec's and Supercorsa's. The sidewalls are that squishy now that all the track lads are running them in the low 20s and it wrecks the sidewall. I got the info from Tony Salt from TST tyres.
I am still going to use them, keep a close eye. It wasn't the carcass, just the rubber. I understand why your worried though.

Bryan mate these tyres are the bollox!! These aren't even in the same ball park as the 207's etc.... they are the same spec the boys were running in the Superstock TT!!!!

I'll see if he still has a set left.....

oh are these the ones that they tell you to run 19 psi cold on the rear, ive heard a few stories about them don't know if ive the balls to go on track wi a rear tyre that low on air the supercorsa's are touchy if your a psi too low or high but that much mmmmmm i'm goin to do the last saturday morning trackday on october the 9th i think and after that i'll get a set of something what is another question the pace i'm at the noo the supercorsa's are the ticket so we'll see thats if im still in one piece wi this back tyre lol

pressures are -front - 31psi cold and 35 hot (after warmers)
rear - 22psi cold and 27/28 hot (after warmers).

I have spoken to few guys that run them (2 racers and 1 trackdayer) and they say they are simply awesome!!! I'm at Cadwell on the 30th so will let you know how they fair!!!

I`v always had a low opinion of dunlops. But I have heard alot of good stuff about these later gen ones...
