put a new set pirelli diablo's on my mille 1500 miles ago and im in need of a new rear already, I do use my bike a main transport but still surprised on how fast theyve worn.... think im in need of duel compund, but dont want to loose the sticky'ness of a sports tyre, so havent a clue on whats good and whats not...ideas peps please :)

As a above^^^ I love the 2cts too but definitely get a bit more mileage out the Sportsmarts.
I shyed away from Pirelli's years ago for that very reason, they just wear so damn quick.
Some would argue that's because they're grippy but so are many other brands and they last longer.
I would say 1500 miles is normal for a rear if you're throttle happy but if you're commuting then you may have cold shear issues where the tyre isn't getting up to temperature especially with the lowsy weather we've had and then you demanad suddern bursts of extreme traction.
But pay the extra for the Dunlops, i'm confident you won't be disappointed

Thanx peps, ye did notice they got a little worn when I got home after a 'eager' blast lol, but ive had other big bikes and never gone through a rear as fast...think its partly due to the bike being so torque'y and I do love the pure grunt of the bike lol...and now it shows :p

....and as for the pirelli's being grippy, their not the best tyre for me, ive had others that seemed grippy'er and therefore inspired more confidence from me...and they lasted longer but have a feeling the with this bike itl eat tyres esp after a few mods :p

k heres another question... wheres the best place to order them from? anyone know of decent online shops etc?

maybe a little late but then again not really I have the roadsmart 2 on a falco and have just completed 8k miles on the original roadsmart so I would expect you would get a lot more mileage from the dunlop than the pirelli... I was talking with a guy at a breakers once and he wouldn't resell Pirelli for road use as he felt the tyre was too soft especially in the tyre wall which was what gave it the grip rather than the compound etc but made it lousy in the wet..... I found the Dunlops also kept the profile really well hence not even looking for an alternative this time around

Diablo what? Supercorsa? or Corsa? Corsa3? Rosso or Rosso2?

Wow thats not a lot of miles.....i'd get over 2-2.5k from a Dragon Supercorsa sc2/1, sometimes over 3k but pushing the slickness haha, and they are used sc2/1 practice tyres, 4k from Diablo Corsa, and haven't yet used another Diablo I have, think it's a sport. Just fitted Diablo Supercorsa sc2&1 to one i4 bike so will see. Always Pirelli.

Most tyre types are apparently brilliant according to many riders, and you can't argue, as there are a mix of riders reporting such. If you are on carriageways all the time, and pushing on, you'll wreck a soft tyre anyway, but still, can;t explain 1500 miles unless high speed and hard motorways and pressure high perhaps.

Hope this next one goes further?
