Twin can's on an '03???

Evening guys,

I've been toying with the idea of a twin can set up on my Mille for a while now but the thought of cutting the lower fairing has put me off. Since i now own the Tuono (with no fairing to cut) it's rekindled my desire to try it!!

So....... can any of you lovely gents/ladies out there tell me if there is such a thing on the market as a 1 into 2 link pipe that i can add to the original headers of the Tuono???

Would a Corser/Hag rep link pipe do for instance???

Cheers all....................:thumbup

Think you may have to put Falco headers on for a neat job if you don't want a mass of pipe on one side :dunno
Sure V60Paul has it on his Tuoldo :dunno.

Can't be hard, reckon getting the bits together is the hardest part.
I had Renegade twins on my Tuoldo but they were on when I got it. Looked the dogs B's

Looks like a decent price there, too, nob. I like the look of the twin pipes. One of the things that drew me to the Tuono...

I agree Shvly lad, symetry ? Thats why I'm the same shape everywhere [round] :yes

a helmet for a helmet :lol

fur lined this time of year tho

Keep an eye on Ebay - full 2+2 systems come up from time to time. My Tuoldo has the Aprilia-Akrapovic Titanium system on, which I got for about £500 from a guy on Ebay a few years back. they Fetch about £400 now.

Renegade made a pipe that split for twin pipes.

I am not sure about Falco headers - aren't they a slightly smaller diameter?

I personally think the Rene's are the neatest off the shelf [especially the high mount]. Exhaust fabricators aren't that expensive though, its just knowing one. The Falco's could be fettled then it would look right around and under the engine. Spose it depends if you have a belly pan.
Bet your'e sad when that bike goes Paul. I would be.

The falco headers are the same diameter, its the outlet at the mid section (the bit you need) that is smaller. the falco also has a longer front header with a different angle to the tuono, which means that it clashes with the oil tank when going from a mille to falco, I don't know if this would be a problem going the other way. either way at some point you will be restricting your exhaust gasses. the question you need to ask yourself is, why do all the falco lads want mille exhausts? a second hand system off fleabay is probably the way to go.

Nice one Dave, good info. Specially as I'm on the look for a Falco to play with.:thumbup
Just read Andi's first post again and he only needs the correct 1 in to 2 link piece tho. Were getting a bit carried away.[as usual]

Very mixed feelings, excited about the new one coming, but the Tuoldo is so completely sorted for me I shall be very sad to see it go. I hope the new owner doesn't throw it up the road first time out.

Know where your coming from, my Falco was spot on for me. I wasn't really looking to change bike but I saw, fell in love and bought the Rsvr almost within an hour. Spent the next 12+ months trying to turn that in to a fookin Falco.
Seems like your Tuoldo was pretty much a Factory spec anyhoo so you'll be right at home on the new one. But with, dare I say it, extra grin factor.

I am hoping so. :thumbup

Over the years I have pretty much converted it to Factory spec, so it was a no brainer when I decided it was time to change. We have an 07R in the Garage anyway, I couldn't see the point in us both having identical bikes, too Howard & Hilda. It's bad enough with his'n'hers Tuono's as it is.

The only area the Tuoldo falls short for me is windblast, anything over about a ton is agony on the neck for long periods - no good if your trying to catch a Ferry across France.

I will miss the old girl though.:bawling
