Tuono turns over but will not start...?

I just pulled out my 07 Tuono 1000R from storage. Just to see if it would start, I charged the battery a little and it started for a bit and I ran it for about 5 mins. The next day I started it again and after about a few mins it shut off by itself. Now it will not start at all. It only turns over but will not fire up. So this is what I did already: I replaced the battery with a new one, drained the tank and added fresh fuel, checked the spark, fuses, wiring connections the best I could. It still turns over fine, but will not start. I also read about the common brown connectors problem and they both looked ok. I have been trying to figure this out for a few days now and its frustrating. Any suggestions???

Does it have an after market alarm?

Are there any fault codes stored on the dash ?

I do hear the fuel pump priming when ignition key is turned on. I do not have an after market alarm. It has only 6000 miles on it with no mods. I did have a fault code of P 0600 once but after looking it up, someone suggested it was some phantom code. The thing is I have not seen it appear since. Thanks for the responses so far :)

The usual scenario when this occurs is: Not enough power in battery to fire spark plugs when turning over engine. So engine floods. On colder days (e.g. 10C and below) it can take 24 to 48hrs for flooded cylinders (and wet plugs) to dry. If you try to start before plus dry, flooding just gets worse. No idea how long it takes for fuel to evaporate on warmer days but leave it 24hrs, make sure battery fully charged, and try again. If no joy try plan 'B'... such as check HT leads are carrying spark pulse with a simple HT pulse tester.

Finally got it started so I thought I would post to help anyone else that was in my situation. So after a lot of asking around and research on forums, someone had an RSV with a similar problem as mine. For him it turned out to be that one of the fuel lines inside the gas tank had come loose and came off. I will quote what Ed at AF1 Racing said that solved my problem:

"sounds exactly like a fuel line inside the gas tank is ruptured or popped off. Several Milles have had this happen. The fuel pump never gets the fuel to injectors
to check, you'll need to drain the tank....get our tank drain kit, or pop off the return line from the gas tank base unit.....
remove the 6-8 screws holding the fuel pump base plate from bottom of gas tank, slide the whole unit out, and inspect the hoses on the pump to and from the fuel filter."

Sure enough when I separated the fuel pump base plate from my tank, one of the hoses inside my tank had popped off. I then reattached the hose, made sure every connection was nice and tight, and installed the tank.

My bike started right up and now runs like a charm!!! :)
