Anybody ever see and know of a sidecar on a Tuono? I know some crazy nuts are able to custom build one, but is there anything out there that is Aprilia/Tuono-specific or semi-universal?

There's one on Google images, looks like a Racing with a merlin chair. Bit of a waste of a nice bike tbh

well that doesn't answer the question.

this is the source of my "I know some crazy nuts are able to custom build one,". That thing looks wicked, but definitely made for racing.

I saw a busa and a bmw 1200 with sidecars. But i think the busa's was a custom job.

should the words Tuono and Sidecar be used in the same sentence ????????????????? . it is grammatically correct but just dont sound right does it .!!!!!!!!!!

the vision makes me feel quite sick .:puke:puke

yea... sidecar isn't a permanent mod to the tuono... would like to find a "bolt-on" if possible. Wife won't ride on the back of mine, nor ride a motorcycle, but is willing to ride in a sidecar. I'd rather keep the tuono than trade for a damn bmw1200. So to get me more pavement time and share the experience with the wife, i'd like to see if its possible to get a sidecar i can slap on every now and then.

sidecar would come off in order for me to shred the asphalt when i'm solo (which is not very often).

make sense?

RR I see your dilemma and it does make damn good sense .

the germans have a passion for "outfits" . I have seen plenty on mainland euroland over the years , some look absolutely wicked and can corner like they are on rails .

years ago there was a company in Cromer Norfolk who made a "chair "called the sidewinder . it was aimed at bods who wanted a bigger bike than a 125 ,and by bolting on this "leaning " side car

made their bike legal by the learner laws of the time .

I haven't seen one in years , and the co. that used to make then now specialize in classic bmw car parts .

might be worth trying to track one down or make one yourself .

The UK sidewinder that was built to get around the 125 licence laws didn't take a passenger, twas just a way around the laws at the time.

If ya Google "sidewinder sidecar" there are a few companies making leaning versions that do take a passenger... and can be removed to ride solo.
Dunno if any available for a T tho... There will always be someone out there that will make ya one... for a price !
:)

Isn't the biggest problem with a Hyabusa and sidecar, that if you use the Busa as it's was designed to be used you won't get many passengers who will want a second lift!!! :lol

So what's the point...!

Appreciate Roadrash's dilemma though, and would make sense if a sidecar can be easily attached/removed.

yea it doesn't look like there is anything out there that would be easy or worth the effort. but that sidewinder sidecar is ****!

dude, just be glad your wife won't ride with you. now you can take off the rear pegs and seat and enjoy riding that machine the way it was meant to be ridden
