Morning fellow Tuono owners - your advice please. Have ever refitted a fuel pump to tank base ? If so did you fit dry (with new gasket) or use sealant ? A highly reputable workshop says dry but I’m seeing photos on here of tank bases / pump surrounds with a trace of red sealant. It’s not a 5 minute job so wanted to check before reassembling.
My bike is a 2006 - sub 4K miles (history suggests it’s genuine), condition excellent, but previous owner had a leaking fuel tank which he’d gummed up for sale. When it let go it’s beyond repair, so I’ve bought a very scruffy used one to keep rolling.
Any advice on the gasket appreciated.
