Hmm,...wonder if its possible to get both the Tuoldo and RSVR and make one?Seeing as I have loads of time on my hands,I might have a go at that.:cool:Just gotta make sure they are the same scale.
 
I've all colours and all sizes already in the RSVR. I have about 300+ motorcycle models. The wife gets a little cranky on occasion but wtf... I'm nae chasing a wee blonde for my mid life crisis....

whit type u collecting Shovel? Ahv been collecting the MInichamps 1:12 diecasts since they started, BSBs, WSB, MotoGPs, Rossis and all the classics. Loft is full o the things. Brillant detail tho. Fekkin expensive habit! Cos ahv done it since they started am feart tae miss oot on any new ones.
 
I have a few Minichamps,....mainly WSBK Ducati's.Also got a few of the classics.Like you say,...it can get fookin expensive.
 
only savin grace is the odd wan becomes pretty collectible and gains in value. All the early Rossis, Corser, Bostrom and Bayliss go fur a couple hunner now ( if ye can find one!)

Ahm still well doon oan the deal tho. Reckon coulda bocht a brand new bike plus car wi whit ahv spent on Minichamps ower the last few years. An a huv tae keep tellin the wife that thir nae "toys" but an investment!!
 
I collect every and anything. My collection is primarily Maisto stuff, and I have one Minichamps Rossi Flower bike that one of my best friends (my Scot nurse friend that emigrated to Australia) gave me. It's one of my faves. I have no access to any Minichimps here, so if you see a kool one, Bayliss, Rossi, Biaggi (but only an Aprilia one), and Foggy are ones that I wouldn't mind having in the collection. Rainey, Schwantz, Dunlop, and even Ago would be nice too. Thanks in advance.
 
Most of the interesting ones have sold out and fetching shtoopid prices on Ebay.The rarest ones are Troy Corsers Ducati 996,Hodgsons INS Ducati 996 (got that one) and the silver Bayliss Imola bike.(Got that one,and signed by the man)These regulary go for £100+ on ebay.They were £36 when new.I think they are about £60 new these days.Here's the list of racing bikes;

Of course all the ones that I want are sold out. What makes them so damn pricey? Limited availability? They seem fairly detailed so that's prolly part of it.
Not sure if I should say thanks for the link or not. Methinks you may have introduced me tae a rather expensive obsession...
 
Aye, it certainly gets a haud o ye..... The earlier ones were made in lower numbers so are much rarer to find. Minichamps used to issue a couple o bikes every 4-6 months or so but the last few years theyve been churnin them oot oan an almost monthly basis.

An they really pissed of us collectors when they re-issued the 1999 Fogarty 916 and made absolutely no diffeences tae the packaging or bike to indicate it wiz a re-issue so ye canny tell apart. Totally devalued the original which was really hard to find in top nick.

Have started tae limit masel to just the Rossi stuff and the clasics now as it wiz way oota hand.
 
I'd like just a few Rossi bikes, and maybe a Bayliss... and maybe a Foggy bike... and maybe a MacGuinness TT bike... and maybe a Macau bike....

guy knows a guy with over 100 model bikes in a presentation case...wants 300 quid...shud i take a look?
 
if yer intae models aye! and if 1:12 scale and diecast. If 100 bikes price OK as long as in good nick. Ask if dudes still huz got boxes as thats whit puts real value on. There could even be one bike alone amongst thelot thats worth a fair bit fur a collector.
 
thnx rico. i think tho' that if the guy was into it in the way he seems to hav bin that he wud know if any were worth more money eh? all mite b gone now...was 3 weeks ago i was told about them.

anyway..thnx to shovels infoon here i got fekkin luvly model of my 2003 streetfighter off e-bay.....it's also the fastest model tuono!!!...lol
 
My hands are to big and inept to play at that scale of customization... Good job thee mah lil' faht blahssom...
 
I used to be a frequent buyer of Minichamps bikes. Had quite a few rare ones but ended-up selling them when I was strapped! :(

I had all of Hodgson's bikes at one time and quite a few special paintjob Rossi bikes with the figurines to match but all I have left of those is Rossi's 1st win at Donington. Got a couple of his 250's and like them too much to sell. ;)
