Hi all,
I am picking my new tuono factory up on Saturday, and although the supercorsa that are oem, are fantastic if it is warm day on track ( correct me if I am wrong... never had supercorsa's ), I think for our weather at the moment into the new year they aren't great.
So, asked them if they would swap the tyres... my options are M7RR, S21, Rosso III's or DRC.
What should I do? Keep the supercorsa, or swap.
I have had M7RR on my blade, and they felt a bit squigy on track but that could be my pressures, so thinking S21 but haven't heard anyone with them.
What suits the tuono?
My riding is mainly road, for fun not really commuting, and 5-6 track days a year ( which if last year was anything to go by 3 were rainy )
Cheers

My standard answer is Metzeler M7rr's

Grip like **** to a blanket in hot, cold, wet, dry conditions.

Heat up very quickly and take next to no scrubbing in.

I'm on about my 5th set I think.

Cheers Rizla.
I had m7rr on my blade, but they felt soft, and squishy. I put it down to the "plush" bump absorbing ride described by some. But they also twitched me straight in the bomb hole at snetterton twice on my blade..... but I know they are pressure / temperature sensitive. So could be that. But didn't make me jump for a second pair hence the question.
Do you ride road and track?

Cheers Rizla.

Yeh, more fast road than track.

I wasn't too keen on them on track at knockhill. It's a short circuit and tyres get damn hot.

Second session running 30 psi

That tyre was a little more shredded than my m7rr on my blade... more impressively is how clean your wheel is... I am definitely going to polish my new tuono more than my old blade.
I am between the m7rr and s21.... need to decide by tomorrow.....
Cheers mate

I normally run Q3's ( love them)but have a set of s21's on now . Good in the dry, good in the damp but havent tried rain yet.!

I run the S21, really good tyre, picture is of it at Donnington this past summer, nice and predictable, wore well but only lasted a day on track, get better mileage on the road of course, was running 30psi on track as Rizla says, I'm a Bridgestone man though DSC_0467.jpg

Ok so chaps, I have put M7RR on it, they were £30 cheaper than the S21 which swung it.... I was so tempted by the S21 but figured I know the M7RR and whilst I get use to the bike thought put a tyre I know on it for the colder months.... and the fact I have S20 Evo's on my old ducati which I really like but lets give these M7RR another shot

Hello! First post and reviving an old post

I've just done exactly the same and given I've always used supercorsa on the road I wouldn't mind a bit of advise with these m7rr with pressures

Website says 36f 40r 2.5 bar and 2.8 bar but I've never ridden anything that high before

Anyone found this to be OK or dropped them at all? The tyres are road only but all social no commuting and I guess what you would class as fast road?

I run a dedicated track bike with slicks so these will never see track time

On the road on my V4 Tuono I run 36 rear 33 front with M7rr's.

Fantastic feel and grip level.

That would be exactly the same as the pirelli supercorsa I'm taking off. Is that not too soft from what they say or did you find the original pressures what they stated too high as that's what I'm questioning

Cheers

I boughtmy last set online from an ebay shop in Ireland for £215 delivered. 190/55/17 & 120/70/17

Usually I use a localish guy and he is around 225 ride in ride out
