mine has never worked properly in nearly 7 years of ownership !!
I have changed the left hand switch unit , checked and cleaned all connectors and by passed the factory momentary rubber push button .
the only time it will reveal the actual total mileage is when the bike has had a thorough soaking .
ive asked around on the forum sevral times about this and you are the 1st with the same problem , I thought I was jinxed .
same bike same year too !!! Ive just given up with it now ,and make sure its had a soaking just before MOT time ( I have an understanding with the guy who MOT,s it )
