Toque setting for rear wheel.203 Mille 1000

I have removed rear wheel from the bike , pads look OK, is there anything else I should check whilst wheel is off?
more important does any off you fine fellows know the toque setting for replaced rear wheel retaining nut as I am thick and know Jack ****

90-95Nm is what i set mine up at

mine is by hand with spanner and exstenstion bar in the tool kit never any problems:thumbup

The correct torque setting for the rear axel nut is 120Nm, Sprocket carrier bolts 50Nm (rear sprocket),

Front axel nut is 80Nm, Front brake caliper bolts 50Nm, Fork axel pinch bolts 22Nm, Engine sprocket bolt 50Nm.
These settings are from the official Aprilia mechanic manual.:thumbup

There were lots of problems with failing rear wheel bearings when torqued up to the Aprilia spec so it has since been recommended that you torque between 90nm and 100nm, hence most go for around 95nm as I have just done. You should also check it again after a hundred miles or so.:thumbup

100% in agreeance BS..i never set more than 95nmz for the reasons you stated..you can overload those rear bearings at 120 & torque not necessary to be that high. :thumbup

120Nm does feel excessive when tightening it.
