Hi all I'm new here and considering an older RSV as my next bike. Only thing that worries me is that will it be too big a jump moving from a Ducati Monster 620?

Thanks for any advice!

I dont think so mate.
On the + point you are already accustomed to the V-Twin engine.
I find the Mille a large yet comfortable sports bike.

You would probably have more reason for concern if you were to jump on an R1 or the likes.

Regards

Jake.

That's what I was hoping on the V twin front. I'm a pretty slow rider any way

Now I need to try one out for size, I'm a little match stick man you see lol

Thanks for the replies!

You'll be fine with a mille, I've just purchased one and its a very civilised way of going very quick. Put it this way, my breathed on ZX6R was more of a handful!

Funnily enough an 05 ZX6 was the other bike I was looking at but after the Ducati the sound and feel of the V Twin is soo nice. Although I've never ridden an IL4

You may find the RSV too tall if you're a bit vertically challenged :( . I've got a ~32" inside leg and I can just get both my feet flat on the ground if I'm all the way forward in the seat. Otherwise it's on my toes further back.

05 ZX6R looked tiny when I sat on one though! . I have pretty normal sized legs but a longer upper body.

After a recommendation from someone else and a bit of reading about the Falco seems perfect for me and the riding I'm going to do so that's what I'm going to go for I think!

Get an RSV swingarm on it, Ohlins shock and an open airbox and you'll be as powerful and as well handling as an RSV anyway :) .
