Hello gents. Have a question and hope ya'll can help. As you know ive boughta Tuoldo and have ridden the piss out of it with just under 3k miles in three months. I have recently put in a KN airfilter and was wondering if I put in the free flowing intake that AF1 lists and the velocity stacks will I need to put in a Powercommander? Im going to eventually but was thinking Id run a tad lean. Or should I not hesitate and do the PC right away? With a titanium APE race slipon and the above mentioned what map or settings do I go to? Would like to be informed instead of going in dark. Thank you all.

If you have a modified airbox and a more free flowing exhaust you really should get the engine mapping adjusted. If you go down the PCIII route you need to get it custom mapped on a dyno to suit whatever mod's you have made.

Well, have chatted up Gabro from the AF1 forum and he says hes got the chip I want. Anybody have his chip and howd you like it? Rather not go with the PC.

I know a few lads that have had Gabro chips and they are all happy. I only mentioned PCIII because you brought it up.

I fitted an open, free flowing (hooked) air box to mine and took it to get Dyno'd to see how it was running! I was very surprised by the results and so was the dyno operator. Fueling is perfect above 3000 rpm and only runs a wee bit lean below that. The operator said even if I wanted a PCIII he wouldn't fit one as he was very doubtful he could get it better even with a custom map. So I personally would recomend getting it dyno'd first before you spend money on stuff that may not make any differance.
Only other peformace mod on mine is a set of akras

The open air box is a very good mod and I have had comments about how much better the mid range is since I fitted it

Thanks guys, I only found the Gab chip through hunting the other forum. Still in research mode and thought the PC3 was my only option. But found out its not the best choice being I dont have access to a dyno. Wish I had an Griff counterpart here in the states.
