I'll post this in the rides section too, but I figure more people will look on here.

Great ride today, weather wasn't as good as we hoped, overcast nearly all day and cold, but the roads were dry.

Cracking day out, shame about the ridiculous amount of police presence (we were buzzed by a helicopter at one point, there were stacks of jam sandwiches about and two unmarked Volvos at Llandovery) but hopefully everyone enjoyed the day. Great to meet everyone off here and thanks to Lucy for taking pictures and providing a pretty face amongst the throng of gnarled old gits! :thumbup

Here's to the next forum ride (with sun next time please).

Top stuff G min..sounds like it all went well

An ahm sure Ev will be delighted to be classed as wan o the "gnarled auld gits"..reckon yer up fur a boot inthe bas the next time she sees ye..

Evlin only joined us for the first part of the ride therefore she doesn't get included as a gnarled old git!

<figures he's talked his way out of that one, wipes sweat off brow>

Btw - cheers to Bay for organising the ride, even if the lazy ******* was the last one there despite living 2 mins away from the bus station.

Looking at you lot, I reckon you deserved all the police presence you got. It's plainly obvious from these photo's that you're a bunch of bloody hooligans, reprobates and generally unwashed and unwanted layabouts. Bloody bikers, as soon as winter's over, out they all come, causing trouble, robbing old ladies and nicking sweets off kids. Worse than the Vikings, pillaging and plundering there way around Britain's public highways. I'm going to write a letter of complaint to the Daily Mail about this yobbish behaviour. Good job the police have got this sort of thing under control I say.

Nice pics Gilo :thumbup

Great day out lads, really enjoyed it, even if it was a little cold. Really surprised i only had to fill up the three times today on the 350 odd mile round trip.
Only too one picture as my hands were too cold, not even sure im back upto normal operating temp yet although that has something to do with the cold beer im drinking.

Think it should have been "Italys finest and Britains fattest" or am i just talking about myself ?

Bloody great day out and before I go any further I would like to nominate Bay as "Entertainments Officer - Wales and most of England".

Yes ... he was late.

Yes ... he did still have crusty sleep in his pee-po's and marmalade on his chin ... but he organised this great adventure goddamit - let's not forget that!

Perfect distance between stops for stretching exercises, caffeine and pie.

Lovely lovely roads ... way better than anything we have round my way (that I know of)

My man flu did cause some problems but I was using tear-offs on the inside of my visor so that when the phlegm became too much to see though:puke, I simply ripped one off.

I am going to patent this idea for mens under garments ... "F1 shreds ... for the man whos gussett looks like an aerial view of a F1 starting grid".

Lucie thoroughly enjoyed herself too and has expressed a keen interest to go on another sortie.

So finally

Great to meet so many forum members today ... and I look forward to the next ride.

I've not got Moobs just a manly muscular chest ;)
Why can't I see half the pics. Are my Moobs getting in the way hahaha

One of the highlights for me was on the really twisty section after Crossgates - I was cranked right over on a long right hander when I looked in my righthand mirror and saw it filled with a stream of Tuonos all tipping in behind me - fair warmed the cockles of me heart it did :biggrin

I was 2 minutes late and Windy decided to get a coffee in 15 minutes after I turned up any roads.
Damn thought I wiped the marmalade off.

Yes I bet you're glad you did that run to Cirssgates now aren't you. Its a nice stretch of road even at legal limits. I didn't stick to legal limits heading towards the Hardwick back at Abergavenny though. I saw at least 62 on my speedo.
