its that time again, new tires,been running bridgestones,,,,, no too bad but 1500 miles,whits awbody else using, whats the feedback on guid grip an decent mileage,,,, ma cousin pit the new angel/demon tires on his bandit an swears by them,,,,,a dinae ken seems a bit o a gimmick,,,,anyone tried them??
 
Ey up, for what its worth I have had Bridgestone bt010s on 2 of my Prilas and they've been great. On the Rsvr were Dunlops Stortmax Qualifiers and they were pretty good to. I've got Pirelli Dragon Corsa's on the T and they'll be coming off in a week or so cause I can't stand em. I had Pirelli Diablo? Corsa's on the Falco for a couple of weeks and took em off cause I did'nt like them either. The Bridgestones seemed to give a lot more feel, for me any how. Lasted a fair bit too.
 
Cheap enough :thumbup While I think on the bt010's are called something else now, possibly bt020:dunno
 
Evening all

Was recomended to try Dunlop Quallifier 2

After a track day at Cadwell and a trip to Germany for the WSB including a lap of the "Old" ring,

Have been used to pilot road and Avon storms
but the Dunlops, wet or dry are execellent

Tyres.......you could write a book on the subject!

Thing is, they're a personal preference and if your comparing like for like then it comes down to which manufacturer you have the most experience/faith in. I've had all sorts of bike with all sorts of tyres and i've found a general pull in the Dunlop direction. I've normally stuck pirelli on my track bikes and stuck with Dunlops for the road.

My T has Qualifier RR's which have been great, loads of grip, warm up quick but i've no feedback on wet usage as the bike stays in the garage if rain is even remotely possible.

Choice depends a lot on what type of riding you do as there is always a trade off when it comes to grip and longevity. The dual or 'multi-compound' tyres from the likes of pirelli and bridgestone go some way to solve this dilema but ultimately if you want grip then longevity should be left to the touring tyres.

I had dunlop roadsmarts on the 636 before I got the T. Cracking tyre & get an excellent right up. Did 2.5K miles on them before I sold the bike and still plenty of life left in them. I didn't ride the bike like a tart either.
Having said that, a mate had a busa and has the road 2's on that. He got nearly 5k out of the back and leans the bike over.
But as Nick says its defo a personal thing
