Heroblob, if you use advanced mode when you post a message you'll see a section just below with a button 'Manage Attachments'. Click this and another window will open with a box of 4 lines with 'Browse' buttons to the right. Click the browse, find the picture on your computer. The location of the picture on your computer will appear in the line, then click 'Upload'.
Your message will then have the 1" high strip below it with the thumbnail picture of your upload in it.
