I have searched the forum and the manual but no joy:confused

Any help much appreciated, cheers STL :thumbup

Morning Mr Ted. Do you have the complete Colin Edwards throttle bodies? If so, i'm a tad perplexed as to the injector question. They should be plug and play. Any pointers as to what you mean by injectors sir?

cer's are plug & play mate

unless you haven't got injectors installed in them?

I think its just a couple of screws holding the plate of the injector housing on

if your talking number 6 on here, yep thats injector

Aha item number 6. . .but what is number 6? Unfortunately i'm on the mobile and can't see what item number 6 is :) Are we talking plug connectors? Picamatures of both Tb's please.

cat item number 6 on my pic is the complete injector

just waiting for stu to confirm

Hi guys, if you would like to fit a new type of TB in you're old engine you have to modify a couple of things.
Leave the injectors in place since the new ones have more holes and are better.
You can splice the cables or buy a adapter like this one
http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_CONNECT.asp
Type NipponDenso Male to EV1 Female.
Cap the two vacuum ends.
Put on you're old gas mechanism so you can adjust idl the old way.

It is no use trying to exchange the injectors the won't fit without machining
If you want to get you're injectors of the old TB, be carefull not to tear the gasket!

I bought these in the knowledge they are CE bodies so the old injectors should fit, old shape and all that

Indeed Mr Ted, if they are genuine CE's then just put the injectors in from the old tb's. Mr Rossi there is talking of post 04 tb's.

Awesome Alain, thanks matey, thats spot on :thumbup

so take the two screws out and the plate should come away paying close attention to not wrecking the gasket, do you think maybe a dab of blue hermatite on re-assembly?

Anything else i should be cautious of?

I am not familiar with hermatite, just make sure the surface is realy clean.
Some lubricant on the injector o-rings to help them slide in.
Clean the bypass screws cause they are usualy very dirty

sweet thanks Alain, is tomoro night job, got a game of squash tonight.
hermatite is just like a liquid gasket jointing compound
thanks for the quick replies guys :thumbup

watch this space as i royally **** it up

Magically all done and sorted, exchanged the injectors without a hitch, just got to refit and wire in the pc3, happy days, thanks again everyone :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup
