That's most likely the torque ripping your tyre apart, these V twins are beasts to tyres.

Or have you been doing burnouts??

Out of curiosity, what tyres are they?
 
Pirelli Diablo Corsa (The original type).....
No burnouts for me , just 1100 miles of riding :)
 
Shame I didn't take any piccies of my Super Corsa Pro's before I binned them, they did exactly the same but on the right hand side of the tyre. (Centre was fine)

my old 208rr on me r1 was through to the canvass,went to skeggy/170miles on it like that too ffs.
stupidity,youth and lack of funds on a hot summers day and not wanting to miss out on a 15 bike group ride!
was shittin a brick all the way there and back tho incase it blew.
cant believe how stupid i was to do that.

Perhaps the right hand side of the tyre Amb is roundabout wear?

Seems also that Kiwis been doing skidmarks on rough roads.
