That was easier than expected.

Got myself a S/H PCIII USB from the States for under a ton and it turned up today. No customs hassle either.
Just finished fitting it, in all it took about 40 mins including disassembling and reassembly. It was far easier than the one I fitted to my GSXR 1000K6 last year.
I even loaded a tune into it before fitting that was as close as I could find to what I actually run.
Booking in for a set-up session in the next 2 weeks now. Can't wait.:doug

Don't bank on customs not catching you!!

I bought some bits from Hong Kong and they were delivered by DHL in a record time, nothing unusual here.

Two weeks after the parts had arrived I received a letter/invoice from DHL stating they had paid £25 import duty on my behalf and I had 28 days to settle my bill before the debt was sold to a recovery company.

When I spoke to the seller in HK they said yes this had happened to many customers recently and it was because DHL had changed it's import procedures.

Moral of the story, if you buy from USA, HK or rest of the world make sure your parts aren't being carried by DHL.

Came by Post Office but I made sure the seller marked it as a commercial sample with a value of $30 on the customs declaration. That works 90% of the time.
DHL tried that on with me, I asked for a copy of proof of payment to HMRC. It was for about £25 IIRC.
They didn't pursue it any further.

I have bought quite a few things from the USA, ebay AF1 etc, and I have been done every time. Pisses me off, because they really took the piss with the Acculign rear sets.

Am interested in PC111 TT, what year is your RSV? I dont really know much about them, whats the benfits?
Dan how are them there acculigns? They looked sweet next to your microwave what bout on the motor?

LOL, I sold them when I thought I had to sell my bike. How mad is that eh?

Anyway stuck the standards back on with a polish heel plate and new titanium pegs and I quite like them (a lot)

Coupled with a custom map and dyno set up your fuelling can be perfectly matched to the can, air filter etc.
Better throttle response, crisper fuelling and normall 5-10 BHP more with the right tuner.

Bike is an 03 with K&N, air tubes removed, 16T front sprocket and very soon a MiVV GP silencer.

Look sexy, but I couldn't get them to feel as good as stock, hence they were first to go.

Don't miss em tbh. I have had Gilles and Acculign and I am perfectly happy with stock.

Supertedlover, how you doing? I just bought a PC3 off ebay for £120 and had it fitted and custom mapped by 'Fusebox' in Tamworth. It took about 4 hours and the results are amazing! Before that I thought my bike was set up perfectly. As I have 16/44 sprockets fitted running was quite smooth. But there was a 'hole' around 3K revs.
Now all that has gone and it pulls in a linear fashion right up to max revs. Proven by the print out. (So much so I bounced it off the limiter a couple of times before I recalibrated my head and right wrist!) The big benefit is smooth running which is a boon around town. Some people claim improved economy too but I've not had mine long enough to verify that. I just wish I'd done it last year.

Sounds like its just been added to the winter wish list, thanks BoB, what pipe you got on at min?
