Thank god for crash bungs

Its been a long and cold winter and my itchy feet go the better of me so snow nearly all gone and a winter spent working on every one elses bikes has come to an end. So the cover came off the Ape and my new Lorenzo space man lid all buckled up, i got to the end of the drive and down the road approx 20 meters and rear wheel span up so i did what i always do and accelerated a tad more then **** engine speed increased way to much followed by a blissful silence,then that awful plastic scrapping sound and the pain as the bike lands on my right leg.Bike did a 180 and we both went down.

As pissedoff as i am it could of been SOOOOOOO much worse.

:eek: Sounds familiar, that's what I did a few weeks ago on new tyres but I did the opposite, throttled off & managed to stay on it. Hope it didn't do too much damage :rant
 
Ahhh man! What a *******! I swear by crash bungs, they've saved my bacon on more than a few occasions. I've got both sets fitted on the bike and it looks a bit unsightly but saves the day more often then not :) Hope its a cheap fix
 
Not too much damadge lads. Bits that need replacing lower fairing,gear lever,brake lever and indicator the front side pannel is scuffed and can wait but what pisses me off the most is the dent & gravel rash on my beautiful Akrapovic exhaust and link pipe:banghead

Is there a type of crash bung thingy for exhausts ????

Oh and before anything else ASAP im getting a new set of bungs LOL

R&G have exhaust protectors. Never seen one in the flesh but there are pics on the website...http://www.rg-racing.com/browseType/Exhaust_Protectors.aspx

I totally agree mate gravity's a ***** but not as much as the wife who's now is going all guns blazing about the bike being stupid & too powerfull for the road BLAH BLAH BLAH and i should chop it in for some thing like a BMW!!!!!

These look pretty handy for not such a sky rocket price that everything else (crash protection) seems to be....I was toying with putting some stainless 2nd skin over the front of my akro titanium can but may try these first...worth investing just need some cheap forward crash bungs to be safe and sure!!
 
Just found the R&G exhaust protector on flea bay £40.84 free p&p from demon tweeks, looking forward to seeing what it's like when it turns up.
