Tankbag problems !?!?!?

havin a small problem here, went to the shop to buy a new tankbag for my 02 rsv and found that the magnetic strips in the bag wouldnt stick?!?!?!:dunno
anyone know why this is? (dont want a strapdown bag as it might mark the paintwork) any info would be much appreciated.

they have a plastic tank on them mate.

their not the best of bikes to be putting a tank bag onto, you will need to strap it.

Until they make magnets that stick to plastic mate you will struggle to get anything to stick. Your best bet will be a Bagster tank cover, they come in the colour of the bike and look ok

I got my tank bag from Heine Gerik,clips around the head stock & then suction pads for the tank,not as good as acomplete but a lot cheaper & did my Spain trip no probs,only probs,my arms are too short & couldnt read my map without stopping,anyone know of a map holder that works on a plastick tank,were booked for Spain in Sept then ride back up through France to Roscoff,& I wont be taking as much this year,just my tail pack

Just get a GPS and mount it at 45 degrees on the tankbag , it works a treat and it stays waterproof.

I hope i resolved these problems.

Got and second hand pillion seat from fleabay.
Drilled some holes into it for straps.
The plan is to strap bags connection race back into the seat when i need "trunk"

cheers guys you have been more than informative, saves me wondering why the **** wouldnt stay put....

just another quick one.....

I ****** hate gps ****-navs and the like.... but could really do with one for a trip ive got coming up.... do any have headphone jacks so i can chuck it in a pocket?? or is there anuvver way without paying stupid cash??
