Anyone have the Kriega US-20 Drypack bag on their bike? Looking for luggage with unobtrusive attaching straps and easy on and off bag.
I looked at Kriega and saw that there was some strapping for the sub frame but I've heard there were some bags that just had strapping under the seat only.
Any suggestions? Is the Kriega the best option? I've only had hard cases up to this point.

I've got the Kriega US-10 on mine and it fits great.

On mine the straps just loop under the seat pad.

thanks.
I saw two video clips after I sent this. One on Kriega.com itself which was a little confusing as they were showing three bags being installed, to music no less, but it did look like they just attached the straps under the seat, and the other was on REvzilla. "Anthony" who's usually pretty good, mentioned the subframe attachment but he did not have a bike to demo it on... If you attach the 10 by just looping under the seat pad I have to think the 20 attaches the same way...

I've got the 10 and 20 and they both work great. The 10 is for short rides where i may need wet weather stuff so carry them in that. The 20 is for long Holiday trips. Just finished a 4,500klm a few months back and the 20 was brilliant. Hardly noticed it was behind me and actually could use it as a back rest every now and then. Holds heaps and nothing gets wet at all. Only negative is that when it is full, if you don't have long legs you need to mount with your leg up and across the seat and not just flick it over the back like usual. When youdetatch it all you see are 4 tiny little eyelets that anchor it to the frame under the seat.

The 10 just straps under the seat and you have to take the seat off if you don't want the straps to sit there. The 20 however attaches to the subframe under the seat so is solid as. So when you detach it you only have the 4 little eyelets sticking out about 20mm. Easy to get it on and off which is great.

Would you happen to have a pick of your seat with the bag off? Just curious to see how obvious the connecting straps are.

Yes, a small laptop will fit OK.

I have a 20 and 2X10, they fit on fine.

Thanks.. Is it a tight fit or is there room for a couple of folios and stuff?

Hi, anyone tried the oxford lifetime x50 sport panniers on their Tuono? Headin away in a couple of months and have been looking at that set up for my bike. Looks good but not sure how well it fits!!!!

I have the US-20 and 2 US-10's that i can attach to the US-20 , its good stuff and dead easy to clip on / off from the bike .
Went away for the weekend and the pack never moved an inch , even with a tent etc strapped to the top of the pack , cant rate it highly enough :thumbup

I guess it's down to one or the other. I like Kriega stuff. Can you attach two 10s if you wanted too???

The looped part under the alloy buckle is what is strapped to the sub frame and all you see is however much you leave tucked out from under the seat. You just unhook the alloy hooks and take your bag away.

Hey caveman let me which you choose and post a pic if you can. Since we got the same ride im curious. Im look at the 20 also. Going moto camping in a few weeks and im looking for ideas.

I will definitely post a pic of whichever one I wind up with it on... I like the ease of the 10 but think I may need the storage capacity of the 20. It's definitely either or and I have to decide in the next couple of days as I really don't like back-packs all that much; even though i have a nice Kriega. Carrying a six-pack on your back isn't the best idea either :)

As much as I like Kriega products I think I may try the Nelson rigg expandable sport tail pack. I won't be taking any major long distance trips with this bike so I"m not as concerned with it being a major water proof article. Having to roll it up to open it and close it seems like it would be really annoying everything you were putting something in or taking something out. I also like the expandable feature of the Nelson Rigg. It's a bit cheaper too, but then you have to buy the mounting kit.

Only problem I see with the Nelson one is that you have to remove the seat every time you want to take it off. So if you're traveling and stop overnight you have to take the seat off, remove the straps, put the seat back on and in the morning do the same. I got annoyed at the Kriega US-10 one so that's why i bought the 20 with the fitting that stay on the frame and all you do is unclip and leave the little tabs there. Also found it actually stays better and doesn't move around when it's attache the the sub frame and not just the seat. And was worried about how strong the seat latch and plastic tabs actually were with the extra weight on them.

Kriega products I cannot praise highly enough tough practical and very stylish. US 10 fits really snugly on rear seat with only four loops showing when not fitted. US 20 although larger still fits on nicely. You could attach via alloy hooks and straps the 10 litre on top of the 20 or if you had two 10 litre packs one can be fixed either side of the 20 litre bag similarly they can be mounted on the tank harness too which gives you loads of options. I also use a US 5 Litre bag too and the stash wallet. Great quality and after sales second to none. When or if I can work out how to upload photos I will, including some showing how much you can get in

I like the Kriega, but unraveling it everytime you want to put something ion or take something out seems like it would be a nuisance enough that I would jsut wind up using my back pack instead.
The Nelson rigg was appealing because you can just zip it open and throw stuff in after shopping lets say. I don't need major weather proof as any major trips would be done on my spring which has hard bags.
