T15 front sproket

Probably a silly question but does the front sprocket only go on one way round? Fitted mine but it only seemed to want to go on one way and not sure if it's put the chain more to the inside. The afam sprocket I got is quite offset...did anyone else find this?

Compare it with the one that you took off.

Yes from memory there is an offset.

Usually any markings on the sprocket, i.e. 15t or 525 would be visible when the sprocket is fitted.

Cheers, I know which way it came off...but the Aprilia one is fairly central. The way I thought it would've gone back ( with markings showing) just didn't seem to want to go on. The way it fitted had a deeper concave on the visible side...if that makes any sense? The wheel turns freely but a bit worried it's out of line. Has anyone got any pics? Such a simple job has me concerned....time for cider !!!

Brilliant. Cheers Rizla....mine has the same kind of offset. From memory did the sprocket only go on one way?

I can't remember mate, but I compared the two sprockets in terms of how far the teeth are away from the motor and the result was as per pics.

Well,..every day is a school day.pinched this off AF1.

CALIBRATION. You need to ReCalibrate after changing sprockets or Tyres

Go into Menu screen on dash, scroll to Calibration, select by pressing mode button. Ride off & into 2nd gear. Screen shows "calibrating". Maintain a steady speed of 42kph (24 mph), +/- 2kph (1.25mph) for 10-20 seconds-until the calibrating screen automatically turns off & goes back to the regular screen. Now stop & turn off bike for at least 30 seconds. Then turn on, ride off... Recalibration complete!

Aye ye learn somethin new every day.......nae an issue for us auld school V2 loons tho KB....:thumbup
