Hello Aprilia people!

I´m a Kawasaki Ninja rider from Sweden who decided it´s time to buy that dream machine - The Tuono 1000 R Factory!!

But before I take off and buy one it would be awesome to get some tips from more experienced Tuono owners, what to look (out) for and if there is any significant differences between the years the bikes were manufactured?
Is it worth the extra money to get the Factory version or should I spend the money on upgrading the standard version instead?

Fill my brain with the good stuff - I´m listening!!

Cheers!!

as above mate, have a trawl through the site using the search box and I am sure you will find answers to all of your questions. good luck

Its worth getting the factory as suspension is better than standard R. Prices second hand are reasonable.
The bike has 1 or 2 quirks, but the V twin engine is a peach. I came from a 636, prior to that a blade. The Ape is an excellent hooligan bike.

I think it all depends on your age / attitude to biking.

A lot of people have previously been IL4 jap biker riders who have got sick of the race rep thing, but still are attracted to the hooligan aspects.

I think all of would agree that the way the T puts down the drive is the main attraction (plus the noise), a jap 4 is old hat in comparison.

Factory all the way dude if you can afford it.
no point upgrading the R if you can afford a Factory with all the goodies pre fitted.

Prob cost more to do that way to.
Which ever model you buy you will love it :thumbup

Thanks a lot guys! I´m trying out two -07 bikes this week, one R and one Factory, then i´ll know which model I want to go for (but we already know how this is going to end right?)
