As griff is over there and im over here i need a bit advice

Im gonna do the full suspension setup check ( god help us) and i was wandering what the sag front and rear should be as a ballpark.

I have a tendency to ride over a mixture of bumpy and flat roads.

The red knob on the rear shock is this the rebound setting?? if so how many turns from fully in ie from clockwse setting should it be.?

Any other helpful advice like if sag is less how does the bike handle etc etc

thanks

Tim

ps AMB67 you might need to adjust yours after all the biscuits your gonna eat resurecting Frankie

Tim, mines set up to perfection for my riding style.

Its a complex subject mate, i know a bit about it from teaching myself and studying articles etc, it is a very personal thing.

Have a read at this and see how you get on, but be warned it is baffling.

The red knob will be compression as the rebound is at the bottom of the shock, probably a flat screwdriver blade needed on your model IIRC.

Whatever you do take note of all settings before you start so if you make a **** up you can resort back to where you were before you started fiddling.

Have fun:devious

If you have problems we are here to try and help out:thumbup

When you figure out what which button does, tri bouncing the bike, one hand on the triple clamp or the tank and another on the seat(make sure you dont drop it :D). So you get a filing how soft/hard the bike is and to make sure the front and back is similar.

You also have a few good videon on youtube:
