Hi guys, suspension help required!!! Was at Silverstone yesterday with a brand new metzeler k3 on, tyre was ripped to shreds on the right after about 120 miles!!! Was running 26psi hot, anyone got track suspension settings? I'm about 85-90kg with my leathers on, got another track day tomorrow and don't want to ruin another tyre so quickly, cheers in advance for any advice

My mate has got 1400 mile out of his tyre on a new tuono factory that's just on the road they eat them [emoji23]

Tend to agree that 26 hot is a bit low.

I run 30 cold for the road and it rises to high 30's when warmed up.

Tyre pressures are what the tyre guys at the track recommended, I checked with them after the second session as the tyre was tearing up and he said 30 was way too high, he said 26psi hot should be correct, I'll check tomorrow with them again and see what they say, usually run them over 30 psi on the road, anyone got the stock settings for the rear so I can double check the settings? And again if anyone has track suspension settings that would be great

been to track a few times running m7rr, on a tuono and zx6r, hot rear I set to 28 and hot front to 30 so you are not to far off.

Who did you do that track day with ??

Tyre pressures sound about right, If you're really givin' her 120 miles of Track riding will shred a tyre.

Might be worth sorting the suspenders out though, No Limits may have a sus guy there to help out getting it dialed in. Check the thickness of the tear. If there’s no uniformity to the tear and it changes as it goes around the tyre, this typically indicates it’s something to do with the suspension.

Sorry guys for the late reply, just set it to the track settings in the manual, worked well but the k2 only did 5 sessions, wearing nicely, no tears, that's it for me and track days this year anyway, cheers for your replys
