I decided to fill my big t up with super unleaded for a change, it didnt seem to make much difference performance wise but...... would it affect the popping of exhaust on the over run???? Th
Oday there seemed to be lots and lots of pops..im used to a few as i change down gears but it was really popping today...
I run it with pipewerx cans still on map 1 though... had the sameset up for 3 years with only small amount of popping...

you probably will get some more pops because of the higher octane .i started using the high octane juice because apparently the 95 rom is a mixture of petrol and bio fuel and can be harmfull to any engine thats not geared to take it so if your bikes older than 2 to 3 years apparently your better off using the super but i did think the same when i started using it myself .

MAP 1,yer havin a fookin larf mucker.

WHY

You clearly haven't got a clue what you talking about

sez on the tank to use normal unleaded , why waste cash on higher octane stuff you dont need . not needed even on map 2 with open cans .

Its not needed but it is better for the engine, Vpower has detergents in that clean the injectors etc, Tesco 99 is pretty good stuff too, you could also argue why waste money putting good quality oils in? It would probably work out at £1.80 a tank more
Not really going to break the bank is it?
You may not get any more power but your engine will last longer I won't put 95ron in my track day genny

Any benefit from Super Unleaded will be more than outdone by running Map 1 with open cans.

I love it how people are taken in by the sales pitch of these companies.:yes
How did we all manage before? The streets are littered with vehicles with ****** engines running on standard unleaded.:lol

OK so you put the cheapest tyres on because they do the job, cheap brake pads they work, cheap chain and sprockets cause hey they all do the same thing, oh and let's not forget cheap oil.
And I can't see Arai and Shoei being any better than the helmets down the market. And that Alpine stars kit is just showing off Aldi riding gear is perfectly fine.
Why pay more cause its only sales pitches.

The facts are why scrimp on the thing you're going to be using more than any other ?

well, here's a dumb Q: 95 ron translates to what grade here in the us of a? in our area, we get 89, 91, 93

from what I have gathered 91 octane is the closest. mileage is a bit lower on the 89 than the 91 so price/performance is a wash.
91 to 93 I don't really see any difference except a few cents in cost.

any stateside folks want to chime in on their experiences

Zuki, yer keep putting the super juice in yer machine because that's whit yer want to do. :thumbup

Grin yer spot on mucker,,,,,,,,,,,,loads of them engines jist dropin oot their mounts 'cause the fuel's jist not the dearest yer can run on. :thumbup

Good to see we've still got lots of fuds on the forum. :yes

never mind this ******** just fill it with go go juice and ride it like you stole it :lol lifes too short for this guys :yes

Yep,I have more important issues to worry about,...........like where to fit the tax disc.:crazy

Stick it in your wallet KB, it'll be right.

I run a diesel car and I do run premium grade once in a while, usually when I have a long run. It cleans up the exhaust emissions/smoke
and stops the ERG valve from sticking and needing replacing at dealer cost.
It works when the MOT is due for sure. But no, I don't put premium grade petrol in the Bike, no need.

Next time you need to fill up try Vpower
or Tesco 99 for a couple of tanks I'd be surprised if you don't notice a difference.
I'm not saying it will give a massive horsepower gain but it does feel smoother and happier with better fuel.
And it has been proven that cheap supermarket fuels are nasty and contain eco crap that bungs up injectors.

It does seem strange that people will do free mods like remove the air box restrictor that have no affect other than make it sound different but won't spend a few more pence on quality fuel?

I have tried it before Zuki when told similar, and didn't notice any difference.
I've used supermarket fuel for yrs in all my bikes & cars without any problems. Could be I've been lucky, but if the fuel was as bad as some try and make out no-one would buy from them?
Anyway, time to move on, another sunny day so a jaunt out is called for.

5th gear did a bit about this with a golf gti, the most they got was an extra 2bhp. They didnt notice any change while driving it but that was a car not a bike. I only use it if the garage have ran oot of normal fuel as I'm a tight *******
