what a week already, things are pretty bad for me at the mo.

So sitting watching some theraputic TV just an hour ago when i here a crunch and then the rare sound of my alarm going off! some gypsy looking mother f*cker of a bird has knocked my mille over in her 15ft long gypsy waggon!

Well atleast she didnt try and scarper. The damage to my, until then imaculate 51 plate Mille is:

Front fender broken
Nose faring scratched
Front left faring scratched
upper left fairing scratched
Snapped clutch lever
Front and rear left indis smashed
Main headlight bulb (not full beam) popped for some reason
Tail fairing inc hump scratched
Completely bent side stand

Bugger bugger bugger bugger, i sooo dont need this now, and its my primary transport, riding 26 miles a day for work.

So how much for replacements do you think? im gunna settle without ins companies, she only lives 2 doors down and is always around so she cant do a runner, but im moving on Friday and need a quick resolution.

Its a 51 in matt black with orange and grey decals. Anyone got any mint bits for sale??

Yelp!

That sir is a proverbial arse! I can't help with bits i'm afraid, all the stuff I have is 2000, although are the front mudguards the same throughout? I've got one in red in good nick.

Hope you get a resolve soon squire. Best of luck :thumbup

lol, she wasnt pretty enough to replace my italian beauty to be honest.

just give any aprilia dealer a call, give them the list of bits you need, get a total, and ask her to pay that otherwise your taking her to the cleaners.

BTW: where do you keep your bike? on the road????

be sure she pays...........................
Gyppos are renound for not only; not paying; but for f****ng you up for having the audacity to ask her for a penny

be careful and good luck

Get her to give you a gappy toothed ********:eatcorn

I am a real help arn't I:thumbup

Sorry mate. ***** luck there.

Given the potential high cost of repairing your bike I think you would be very unwise not to let the relevant insurance companies sort this out. I know of a number of cases where persons responsible for accidents have promised to pay up at the time but change their mind a few weeks later when they see the size of the bill. What would you do then if she refuses to pay? The only person that could benefit by not involving the insurance companies is her, not you. :dunno

As above. Or is it that she has no insurance - or TaX - or mot?:angry

I have to agree there with informing insurance companies.

I think i'm right in saying that some insurance companies require that you inform them of what has happened even if you don't wish to claim. Further to that, the driver of the pikey van is required to provide details of her insurance, the registration and the name of the vehicle owner. That doesn't have to be straight away at the time it happened, but in a reasonable time.

You may have 'exchanged details' already but if not then I would do so asap. She is required to provide that irrespective of whether you then decide between you to settle it without going through the insurance.

Of course if she refuses to give you the insurance details then I would be straight onto the plods myself to report it.

Given the cost of replacing those parts even though they have minor scratches/damage, have you made her aware of the potential cost to replace them for new?

If you want to know the current cost for replacement parts, then I would suggest ringing one of the aprilia dealers here and asking them to give you a price list for the parts.

Take a look at the van she owns mate, compared to your bike...i wouldn't be giving her an inch of space..police report and insurance notified....or sorry to say, but you will have nothing but grief getting your cash i would think..new Aprilia prices for those parts you list will be thousands..you gonna chance she has those readies around..let alone hand em over to you. Braver man than i squire. I wish you good luck in getting it sorted tho matey.

Not only should you be claiming for the damage to your bike you should also be pursuing a claim for alternative transport costs as she has knackered your means of transport to work. These sort of uninsured losses can be claimed through many insurance policies and if not I'm sure there are many specialised companies out there that will do it for you......as they say, where there's blame there's a claim! :devious

Boot on other foot she would hang you out to dry, do not take a chance, involve insurance, take photos of her van get her to sign a statement of admission of quilt that you will return if cost of repairs are meet within 72 hrs, if she cannot pay in 72 hrs she
cannot pay full stop so involve insurance

agree with al the above mate, do it legit, get full price for damage, then buy second hand. Is yours the mille or mille R matey? I have bodykit for an 02 mille matt black. Pictures in a post from a couple of months ago in the for sale forum.
Good luck dude. Horrible thing to happen
cheers Ck

yep,i agree do the insurance thing.you,ll get loads of hassle the other way round,u can find out wether she has insurce by giving her van reg to your insurance company.chance are, looking at damage report they will right it off.good luck anyway mate.puckin pikeys
