It seems an eternity ago since wheeling the bike out of the shed after winters hibernation and those early run outs in March that resulted in frozen fingers & testicular infection after getting caught out in the rain with only a Jeans & T shirt under my non waterproof textile jacket.

Since than I've sold My Dorsoduro, Fireblade & Tuoldo & replaced with a Tunewo & another Blade.

I've fettled with The Tunewo, Zorsts, Power Commander, Mapping, Suspension, Sprockets. Carbon bits & Pondered on rear sets, Ohlins suspension, Recovering the seat.

Covered 8000miles, Been to Assen on a trip. Sold all my old helmets, leathers, & crap on E Bay & replaced with new gear that should be good for the next few years.

But as the summers drawing near to it's end and I sit here looking out the window at the Grey sky thinking **** it If this were March there'd be no second thought I wouldn't hesitate putting on my gear & jumping on the bike.

So thats just what I'll do **** it Heine Gerricke Chester then A&D's in Denbigh to gloat over the new V4 & dream about getting one next year. If I put £100 to one side each time I have an impure thought about fettling & spending on my Tunewo I should have enough for a 5K deposit next spring no problems.

So even though it looks like rain I'm off for the day before summer comes to an end. I'll walk the dog later.

I'd love a new V4 but won't buy anything unless I can afford it cash and I aint forking out that much on one

That's the only attitude to have with our weather these days. If you waited for cloudless sky & 20+ degrees C you would go out about three times a summer!

If you lived here, then you would never go out. Only time I won't ride now is when it's snow/ice as my hands seize up in low tempratures, and I can't be arsed falling off.

I enjoyed my ride on the weekend and it was lashing it down. However, I shant be going out and buying any wet weather gear as on rainy days I can find other stuff to do other than ride the bike. I enjoy riding it although don't have to ride to get back and forth to work etc.

Only dry days out for me and constant checking of the weather forecast ;)

Spot on attidude Tricky min...lifes too short an weather is jist a case o haein the right gloves on! :thumbup

I have lots of different gear & don't mind it raining a bit. Try & avoid getting flipping soaked though not keen on that.

Not long got back in 210 miles plenty of drizzle but managed to mainly stay dry. Checked out some roads for rideout on 21st August which in the end I now don't think are suitable. I wanted to take a route that would lead us through llanberris pass but the road from Porthmadog to Caernarvon was a bit dull & will be full of tourists by the time August comes. We'll just have to take an ice cream detour from Bethgelert Unless P6Cat joins us & knows an alternative route.
So Ride out was good another £60.00 up in smoke, now time to take dog for a walk.

It was me best mates birthday today,so we went out for a blast and ended up at Duxford aircraft museum.Forecast was for showers, but we were lucky and never saw a drop.:yes
Different story on the way home tho,...it absolutely lashed it down.Rain and spray made it very difficult to see where we were going at one point.
My posh Furygan jacket is crap,....the top half of my body got soaked. The cheapo waterproof trousers I bought from the BMF Show were brilliant,..bottom half was bone dry.My shorty Nitro boots were a surprisingly waterproof too.
Ah well,I'll be cleaning and lubing the bike in the morning then.:yes

Tricky I have noticed some things about you which are intriguing

You are extremely eloquent -
You have a massive passion for bikes ... and skill to match
You seem have more disposable income than I can shake a stick at
You have an unusually large amount of "you time"

I have concluded that you are either a lottery winner or one of those secret millionaire business gadgys ... or a secret agent

All of the above strengthen my resolve to somehow make it to one of the Tzone ride-out, beer, cider, hog roast, spit-roast, music, bed and breakfast camping Welsh Taff fests.

May I propose

"Taff fest" to rival the celtic "fud fest"

Hopefully getting some stickers done for all attending maybe Taff Fest should be the strap line.
& p.s don't tell anyone I'm an international arms smuggler. & we havent discussed calibres yet Newelly. I did pickmup onn the thread that you're a bit of a shooter. If I mentioned my sako .308 & .17HMR would it mean anything to you??

Sorry. but I have to object to this one. By calling it a `Taff fest` you are saying that the fuds only come from Jockland. I know this to be untrue as I have a Welsh friend and not only is he a fud sometimes, he`s also a bit of a fanny. So fell free to call it a Fanny Fest if you want though. Or Fud West :thumbup

I'd love to get involved in a fanny fest whether thay be Welsh,Scotch, Irish or English so long as they're not Ginger are well trimmed & presentable oh & don't smell.

In response to Newelly's comments I feel it necessary to clarify a few points.

Thank you for praising my eloquence, skill & passion for bikes.

I do seem to have an unusual amount of me time however I am up early to provide breakfast & look after guests at least six days a week & mostly work nights & weekends so me time to get out is mid week throughout the day.
My disposable income is proportional to my commitments & responsabilities. (few)
No Wife, No kids, no pony club, football, cricket, crappy package beach holidays, parties etc etc.
No mortgage, No rent, No community charge, No Gas, water, leccy, telephone, sky, No food. I even get the business to pay for my cat & dog food.
Shop for clothes at peacocks once every two years. I'm no fashion guru.
Run my car on home made Bio diesel made from old chip fat oil.So can also put £20.00 a week bike fuel through the business.
Try to pay as little income tax as possible. (advice once received from a Gippo.)
So minimum wage goes quite a long way in funding essential purchases for upgrading Tuono.
Think I'm going to shelve RSV4 project for another 12 months at least & focus on upgrading suspension & seat cover & maybe a few more carbon fibre bits.

plus I am a CIA hit man

. If I mentioned my sako .308 & .17HMR would it mean anything to you??

It suggests red deer and dead foxes?

I sold a few off but retain a Remington .22 semi, Sako .22 bolt, Tika .223, AYA O/U 12b, Fabarm 8-shot 12b semi-auto (fac) .177 Anshutz target rifle and a BSA .22 XL tactical

Maybe you fancy a driven day on the syndicate i'm in at Halston whittington. somebody's dropped out so there are a few spare dates @ £325.00

No wise cracks about disposable income & me time please.

Flipping eck. Do you live in the woods with your own basement full of 6 months of provisions? Have your own 'followers' protecting your boundaries? Are you the new messiah?
