im not sure i like them or not...
normally if im undecisive like you are, then its a no no . :thumbup

Resembles a bulls *** sewn up with grapevine to me......wouldn't be caught dead with them.

One word...

Eww.

If you look at the whole profile then the *** end looks like it's been pushed in like someone was trying to fist the bike. Proportionally speaking, they just seem to small for the rear of the bike. I gotta go with those new pipes that nobster has.

Speaking of which, I thought sean was starting a thread describing nobbies manhood and I wondered, WHY GOD, WHYYYYY!!!!!!

I though stubbies were them little scots boys like Wee Jimmy Kranky or Wee Bernie ?????

Personally I think them cans are

Don't like them. Agree with Shvl it spoils the back end of the bike.
And the daft sod says, no need for re-mapping. He really knows his stuff

As well as not liking the looks - they will fook up the engine performance. Pipe length is critical to engine tuning, if you shorten it the engine will be affected.

Do I look ******* stubby, nob? You pusilanimous little dwarf garden gnome. I wouldn't start pointing fingers when your stature is such that touching the ground when both feet is an exercise in futility.

Sean, go smack nob.

Och naw ye nere wanni der thet :thumbup
Heheeee I'm a nesbit :thumbup

I have cousins on me mather's side named Nesbitt. Maybe we're cuzin's!!

gawd help me...

the man himself, any resemblence ?????????????????

Just to the apparel. I thought I was the only fashion maven here! I gotta say that you are one handsome brute of a man, Nobster! And I only need a small crepe pan to cover my naughty bits, so my hats off to ya! Betcha the ladies wept when Mrs Nob walked you down the aisle!!

yet another thread goes completely off topic ....and quite simply fookin weird :lol :lol :lol

Doesn't realty apply to a 4 stroke as much as a 2 stroke where the exhaust length/expansion is critical.

I have stubby cans on mine and I can assure you there was absolutly no drop in performance at all, in fact I saw a dyno chart where the standard cans were compared to the cored cans and it showed a 10 BHP gain between 6000 and 7000 rpm

Err - and that's not an effect?

Whilst it is true that exhausts are critical for 2 strokes, it is still very relevant for 4 strokes - why else would the manufacturer go to such lengths to loop the rear cylinders exhaust to get it to a particular length. Pipe length will change the rev range at which peak power occurs. I don't know what length will do what on an Ape, you would need to do the development with a dyno.

I am happy that yours are fine, but randomly chopping 5 or 6 inches off the length of an exhaust isn't a good way to go about improving performance.

Unless of course - it's a Hardly Dangerous.

wha the **** pit a picture o ma auld man on here nobbi,,,,,,ya hoor its like being at the skale lol

I read the post and took it to mean that the performance would be impaired by the mods, which in this case it isn't, sorry for the confusion.
The reason that the manufacturers take so much time and effort into making the pipes the same length is so that both banks are balanced and as such are not fighting each other therefore producing more power and less vibrations. Reducing the length is fine as long as you reduce both pipes in an equal manner.
To fully tune the intake/exhaust system to be a perfect length is completely impractical in a bike, however I do agree with the fact that a company producing high end aftermarket exhaust systems, such as Akrapovic, will tune their system (and I stress system, NOT slip ons) to be as close to the peak length as possible.
The cored option that a lot of Tuono owners choose ( myself included )
is simply a means to an end. If I wanted the maximum performance for the bike , then I would fit a full race system and have the bike dyno tuned, but money will not allow this, so a cheaper option was chosen.

Hahahahhhahahaahhhahahhahahahahhaha, I ain't putting any more fookin pics on ere. That fookin Canadien man mountain thinks its me. Thats it. I've been taken for Chubby fookin Brown and Rab C Nesbitt.
Mind you Rab is a folosowfer.

Lookin at 2+ grand then are'nt we. The likes of us don't need them. I mean recreational riders. Must have had ?????? many cans in me time, the high mount Quills were the dearest I've ever bought. A bike at 9k and cans at 2k, don't know where they get their figures from :dunno. I aint a label man, neither a George man. But I know value.
