2004/5 tuono fighter.

Hi. Looking at upgrading to a factory, but am a little put off by aftermarket cans akro's. Bit flashy and loud for my liking. Question is this though, stock can is on one side of the bike, doesn't it change the balance to run with one on each side?

I really can't take this seriously. ....sorry. :exclamation :done

Cryptic, I'm just asking, cos you'd think the bike would be set up to compensate for having the weight down one side, by reducing that weight and adding more to the opposite side mightn't the rider experience be affected?

So, apart from Roy, who thinks there is a difference, but also thinks i'm a **** for some reason, anyone else got interesting things to add- took me a while, but I found another discussion on the topic;
Are motorcycle weight distributions balanced left-vs-right? - ADVrider

Although the OP was asking about changing the exhaust only- reducing weight on one side, not to adding another on the other side too, replies were mixed, some people aye, some people no..
From what I can see you'd be shedding 3.6kg from one side and adding 2kg to the other? The rider would then have to compensate for that change? I guess I could stick a gallon of water on the side of my bike and find out.

One guy says the effect is low because the weight is close to the centre line, which sounds believable, plus when leaning into a corner the leverage is increased over both sides of the bike, so not much effect there. I'm guessing drag change would be negligible also, as the exhausts sit in behind the riders knee...

Add to this that I am only assuming attention is given to left/right weight distribution when designing the bikes in the first place?

You certainly do have a fine collection of e-moticons. If you are that offended I'll bump less, maybe someone who knows will come along one day

I cant work out whether you are a comedy genius or a complete dipstick.:cuckcoo
If you are that worried about weight distribution,why not bolt on a left hand pannier and fill it full of bricks?!!:crazy

(If changing to dual exhaust it'd be a right hand panier)
Was just asking if it'd be noticeable. I know what its like to drive with a pilion who leans persistently to one side, but then that weight is higher.

Mucker this is not Rocket Science just bolt the fukkers on and ride it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,see if yer notice any ****** difference then compensate.

That's how ****** simple it is.
