I get the Diagnostic error codes 11 and 12 on my 2000 Aprilia Mille RSV. I recently installed a new motor in it and checked the both drivehaft and camshaft sensors they both read 240 ohms which is good according to the specs. The cable to the ECU is also fine however when I try to start my bike the fuel pump primes however doesn't start! I was able to start the bike with a bridge on the selenoid however now it doesn't even start and i still get the same codes and recently i found out that the first cylinder had a broken spark plug. is it possible that my bike doesn't even want to start because it doesn't even power the starter because of a spark plug or maybe a bad kick stand sensor or a starter button? thanks in advance

P.s. My kickstand sensor is completely not connected however I don't see the kickstand light on. one of my front spark plugs is bad. And the biek doesn't even start anymore! please help!:rant

Sorry mate, can't help with your error codes but try this here (about Post 26 I think)
which will allow you to eliminate your sidestand switch as the problem - not sure what you mean by totally not connected - that might be your problem.
sidetand switch mod

all of the 3 the cables are cut out because they were lose and shorting and I didn't bother putting them back since the side stand light doesn't come on

i'm looking @ the diagram right now and I think i need to bridge my kick stand sensor cables since I dont' have a sensor and dont' want it until the bike runs. can anyone confirm the code 11 and 12 being related to the kickstand not present? can someone unplug the kick stand sensor and see what's gonna happen please? thanks

Sorry mate my bike's on a truck to Spain. This sounds very like your problem though - bridge those wires like in the link I posted.

now it doesn't even start like it used to, Allan. I'm looking forward to dump the clutch when i short those cables however I'm still curious why my bike doesn't even start now, I thought I could run it with a spark plug missing on the front since there are two per cylinder. excuse my ignorance I simply yanked the plug off from the coil and now i'm stuck with 3 plugs and a car plug which doesn't contact good! oh crap and my girl is dying to ride on my bike. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

SOLVED! I went thru all the sensors and checked the Ohms on them checked the cables to the ECU and finally Listen to my Pirate mate Allan arrrrrrrr and my sensors are good! It's just that i have a bad(broken) solenoid and no kickstand sensor soldered at the moment!

for future reference Diognostic Codes 11 and 12 are caused by the kickstand sensor not being present (and possibly the bad starter selenoid!) Connect the Black (N in Italian) and Brown(M in italian) together and make sure it has a solid contact either wise you still have to pull the clutch to start the bike! yo Allan holler to UK, ma man! ur the koolest!
My new falco motor on my mille feels like a JATO between my legs I didn't feel any noticeable difference !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
