Stiff throttle

My throttle is not as smoothe as it could be. Any ideas how to lube it? Its not a standard aprilia one. There is an allen bolt on the back is this a lubrication hole? Also what lube should i use?

Hi,

Is that a quick action throttle? if it is you might want to find out what make it is and ask the manufacturer how to lube it up.

If you do squirt some oil in through where the Allen Bolt goes then I would suggest using a light oil (ie: 3 in 1) or just spray some WD40. However you might want to check that the throttle cables aren't snagging anywhere first especially where they go round the steering head, of course it could also be that the cables themselves want lubricating.

So i'm guessing that you are a big Black Sabbath fan? are you going to any of the Heaven & Hell gigs?

I think those gigs are just in the states mate, and also I am skint after buying the bike!!! So no. Although I did see sabbath live at the Birmingham N.E.C. a few years back. (with ozzy too!). As for the throttle, some 3 in 1 did the trick ta mate:thumbup
