sticking throttle

Hi guys.
On my way home from work this morning 4.30am i noticed that my throttle has started to stick, i now have to close it off that last little bit. any ideas how to sort this.

:thumbup Strip cable off make funnel of oil leave overnight to soak down.But if it was me ,i would just buy a new cable.If you need to use the bike just take one end off and try work some oil in to losen it up until new cable comes.
This will only work if cable rusty tho,:biggrin
 
Very first thing to do is lift tank and spray the spindles/pulleys and linkages etc.with wd40 or similar, firly common thing for them to get sticky:thumbup
 
also check the end of the grip is catching on the lock nut under the bar end weight
 
Is it a quick action throttle?

Reason I ask is it happened to me on my quick action throttle and there is a little grub screw on the back. A couple of drops of 3 in 1 did the trick.:eatcorn
 
No just a normal one on an 07, cheers for all the help
