Standard RSV pads

rsv (2008) brakes appear to have lost their initial mojo, work well enough but when i first got the bike I was blown away by how powerful they were and how soft you had to treat them because the initial bite was so damned good. Have tried bleeding and new fluids but cant get it back and was thinking of upgrading the lines to HEL as they worked wonders on my GSXR. When i did the gixxer, also changed to sintered Brembo pads, does anyone know if the pads on the RSV are Brembo as standard?

Has anyone changed their lines and did it have much effect?

Brembo is standard yes.

I wouldnt go into changing pads so fast.

Try first cleaning them(with a bit of sandpaper) and also clean the disc with a brake cleaner. Also you can clean the callipers pistons, so they move freely.

It might just do the trick.

Ride a 600 bandit for a week ,then give it another go, I think they'll have fixed themselves.

My 05 road bike feels like that (mega sharpe when I bought it, but just 'normal' now).

My 06 track bike pretty much brakes fine for the entire wear life of the pads, so I think the apparent change is just psychological because you get used to the great brakes.
