Motoclismo must have a permanent seat at the hot test tracks in Italy, because they’ve caught Moto Morini’s contender to the Strada Aperta taking laps at the Adria circuit. Essentially a motard version of the Granpasso, the new bike has an ugly interesting head-on profile, but looks the business from the rear and sides.
The bike features, dual-exhaust cans with vertically slit end caps, an off-centered rear-shock, and projector headlights. The windshield is noticeably missing in these pictures, but we can spot some Brembo monobloc four-piston calipers mated to the 320mm brake discs.
According to Morini’s development manager, the new bike’s engine is reported unchanged from the 1200cc Granpasso, and not the motor found on the Corsaso streetfighter.
No word on price (or if it will even make it to the US), but we should have more details at EICMA this November, where we expect the bike to debut.
