ive got a standard set up on my 05 tuono, have a need for more acceleration as top end on is pointless!!
what size is standard size
(my knowledge goes as far as 1 smaller on the front is 3 smaller on the back)
is there much point in taking a tooth off the front, if so how much and what can i expect

Yer don't want to drop teeth on the back, yer want to add them mucker.

Your knowledge is wrong,...1 tooth smaller on the front is like adding 2 teeth to the rear.
The popular sprocket choice for the Gen1 is 16t front with a 44t rear.At 100mph you will probably be revving the bike 500rpm higher.
The lower gearing makes the bike easier to live with around town,...amazing acceleration with wheelies to match,...and you should still hit around 150mph.

Them meds have a lot to answer fir.

Coincidentally I suffer for the same affliction, might be to much apple juice though.

im running a 16 46 combo on mine and it still hits 150 but the acceleration is epic and power wheelys in 3rd when it hits 6k but downside is it eats tyres and chains but then most tuonos do any how

Hmm might have to make this mod as Donington Park is primarily a 2nd and 3rd gear track....I could do with better acceleration.

Losing another 5 stone would help too :)

Why did i think it should be 14 in the front?
And I also though Donnington was a castle... What the hell is going on?!?!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm still trying to get that dance down.

so as to the front sprocket for a 2014 Touno V4. What again is the desirable amount of teeth?

On my Gen 1 I've gone one down on the front and 2 up on the back. Big smiles all round - better acceleration, much easier to handle at 20 - 30mph in traffic without having to slip the clutch all the time, and the front wheel's in the air before you can even think about it!
You definitely notice the difference once you get up to 60 - 70mph though - I find myself using one gear higher than I would have done on the original tooth settings. But unless you're a straight-line top-speed junkie (in which case get off the Big T) this won't matter.

This is what I'll go for then.....I just need much faster acceleration, the bleeding R1s get me on the straights and I have to go hard on the brakes to gain ground at the track.
