Having major troubles with my 2006 RSVR Factory, I've had Akra slip-ons fitted and Map 2 mods done, the rest is standard.

It just won't run smooth, it splutters on low revs, and pops and bangs on the overrun, its quite down on power, and I feel a knock through the tank every now and then, I put some fresh plugs in, before I fitted them, I rested them on the casing, while fitted to the HT leads, and they both sparked fine,

After fitting the plugs, its the same, also tried some Forte Injection cleaner, put that in with a tank of fuel, and still runs like ****.

Only just noticed today that the Temperature light stays on even from cold, didn't really notice before weather thats a fault or not?

Checked coolant and oil, both levels fine.

Just a guess (mine's an 05 & is auto choke, so I'm sure yours will be too) so if something ecu related thinks the engine is permanently cold (hence the temp light) then the choke might be staying on, making it run very rich & therefore lumpy - I'm afraid I don't know what the fix would be, but I'm sure someone on here will know where to stick a multimeter to test it. You could always try a quick check of wires to thermostat etc in the radiator.

Have a look for splits in the vac hoses on the Throttle Bodies. If you don't find anything try running it with the Atmos sensor unplugged for a few miles (under seat) and see if it is any better. It might throw a code but don't worry about it for the short time your testing it.

Temp sensor is on side of rear cylinder head. Try sticking a meter across it at cold and when warm and see what you get.
