speedo sensor

hi ,a newbie here , was wondering if any info on the speedo sensor , mines stopped working ,, how much are they or is there a alternitive way to do somthing ,thanks

Hey

You can make a replacement but it's q bit of a faff and I've heard there's reliability issues with them. Best off waiting for a breaking bike to come up and hopefully the owner won't be to greedy with the price.
Brand new they're a fortune and second hand can be pricey too as people know they're sort after.

Usually £50-£60 on Ebay used, but get snapped up quickly. I've got one you can have for £45 posted if that helps

I got one off Paul w was delivered quickly bolted in and worked perfectly.

Funny thing is I had the crankshaft speed sensor play up on my Vw sharan 1.8T petrol 20v , and bought a new one from German Swedish French car parts £23.00 and it was exactly the same apart from the 3 pin conector was different ???
