Spark plug caps

Hi all, I am planning on doing battle with my non start 2002 rsv Mille this weekend. Was running perfectly when last parked up, 2 months ago. Now it just cranks, floods and won't fire. Battery is good spins over real fast.

Going to try a new set of plugs at the weekend. However, I have noticed that on the front cylinder the inner most plug has the long cap attached, but on the rear most cylinder the outer plug has the long cap attached.

I have read somewhere that they caps should not be mixed up, I suspect that mine have been at some stage but don't know which is right. Don't think it can make much difference as it was running fine although I want to ensure its correct to give it the best chance of starting.

Anyone know the answer please?

sure buddy the long caps go on the inside short ones on the outside...both cylinders the same!

i did get the right end of the stick didnt i??

You did indeed. Many thanks. Here's hoping that I'll get it running this weekend!
