Somethings missing........please advise

So I have a 2000 Mille R, recently bought it. She has a few issues, the usual non-working speedo, leaky suspension, but one thing I need to solve is how the rear of the fairing is secured at the bottom. The very back lower fairing is not secured and is able to move from side to side touching the rear tyre. There is a bolt missing and clearly something else should be there, but I have no idea what and I'm hoping someone with the same bike can send me a pic that will solve my mystery. The manual is no help at all.
Please see the pic to get what I mean :)...... Pic upload doesn't work even after downsizing the file to 300Kb :(

Are you talking the rear hugger or tail piece or main body.

Pete, is it exhaust side or other side? I have just picked up a Gen 1 to brake, let me know what side and I will let you know what is missing, also let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the replies. The piece in question is the lower main fairing. The back of it is by the exhaust link pipe and that's the piece that's completely unsecured. It has a bolt hold in it but nothing behind it.
 
There is a black plastic piece that goes behind the link pipe and connects the upper and lower belly pan together, I have got one in excellent condition £15 including delivery.

Yes that's what it is... or isn't in this case. In looking at it carefully it looks like it was removed to clear the pipe as that "shotgun" pipe looks much bigger than a single tube link pipe in that area...... Thanks for the help.
