Anybody had the same problem as me..(Doubtfull):no...Every time I hit a ramp or anything else that makes the rear swing arm/suspension work it feels like it bottoms out....I keep feeling a clunk underneith as if the suspension has gone but the T's only a couple of months old with only 1300 miles on the clock.:rant

I can lean over the bike and push down and feel this problem but just cant see where it's coming from.:rolleyes

Surley the shocker can't be incorrectly set up as I would have noticed this from day one..... Any ideas:confused

Check everything is tightened up then get it back to the dealer and let their mechanic check it and sort out. It should be under warranty

Have the gas pressure checked and make sure the gas/oil ratio is correct. The guy that does my suspension reckons that the factory don't give a **** and you can have to much gas, which compresses and not enough oil which doesn't compress and it causes the piston inside to bang into things it shouldn't. This can bend the rod and cuase leakage, I did see this on a mates Tuono. He also fitted and external valve so I can have the gas checked and altered while the shock is on the bike.

Just a thought..:dunno

dont do anything,,,,,if it as major a fault as it sounds get it back to the dealer get it sorted there,,,,,thats what a warranty is for

I have to agree with weejock. I'll also say that Aprilias are notorious for having a REALLY stiff rear suspension. Works best on a smooth track and needs to be adjusted for your weight and street riding.

just a small update,,,if there is something major wrong and you try fix it and either fix it for now or worse botch it,,,,you will void your warranty

Thanks guy's... Had it confirmed that the shocker is f***ed.:bawling
Im takeing the risk of having a replacement fitted through a private dealer (Managed to get a replacement with only 150 on it for £70 inc P&P) as ...

A. I did not have my first service through Aprillia (Like a lot of us!) so that may void the warrenty in the first place.

B. By the time the bike is collected and taken to the nearest Aprillia dealer...Then the bike is assest and the part ordered, It will take at least two weeks.

No way can I be without my only means of transport for that amount of time ...and there is no chance of a hire bike.:eek

Regarding your warranty, I believe and certainly hope that, as long as you have a receipt for the work done, and all warranty work that needed to be done was, that you have the option of using whoever you like. A person has a right to get the best price as long as the service is competent. All the best to you, Bro!

I agree with Jon. There was no mention of the warranty validity being dealer specific when I bought my T. I made a point of asking this question before taking delivery, in fact.

Good luck there Mathand1
