Alright all, looks like the Tuono i was supposed to be getting on Sat may not happen as the guy has had a bigger offer for it from someone else (fair enough really) but have spotted this one for sale........

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikesforsale/searchresults/detail/?R=NXGN-1778027&mfy=

There is a few marks and broken levers which i'm not overly fussed about but a little concerned about these 2 parts......."LOCKS BROKE and RADIATOR LEAKING"...................

When I asked the guy about the radiator he said he couldn't actually see it leaking now but someone else in the shop may have, hencde it's on the advert! Secondly, with regards to the locks........... would a second hand ignition set work without any grief?????

Cheers guys........................:thumbup

yeah ..another lock set is the answer ..they just basic locks ..not like your blackbird with all that HISS b*llocks...lol

Haha!! cheers bud......what's your thoughts on the radiator???? Coud that end up being a disaster?????

oh thats a bummer. You were so chuffed last night.

My mate bought his R1 form them and it was exactly as described. As breakers go they seemed quite straight.

hmm :(

the only sure fire way to know is to pressure test the motor.
Ask if it's been seen leaking from the rad or if it's just loosing water. Their is miles of plumbing on one of these bikes.
It shouldn't be too hard to tell on a tuono as their is no fairing. A leaking/crunched rad pisses out when you rev the bike. I know I damaged one and had to replace it.
Look for emulsified oil (looks the colour of mayo)

andi

i bought some parts from them last year
were spot on as described, good service

Rad leak could be the mounting point has fractured

its a known point for some reason that the black rads fracture around the top mount
silver one never seem to cause issue( early Milles)

My advice (for what its worth) if in doubt, walk away. They'll be other bikes in better condition for the same money I'm sure. By the looks of the advert it sounds like they are not giving the bike away so I'd go looking elsewhere.

Good luck :thumbup
