Slight electrical gremlin

Went out today, and a group of bikers waved me down. At some point, all my indicators were lit, the dash light flashed and turned off as normal, but all the indicators stayed on (not flashing) even when ignition turned off.
Got home ready to disconnect battery, when they went off and now seem fine. Sprayed some electrical circuit cleaner down the ignition barrel to see if there maybe some corrosion in there.

I'm not that electrical minded, so does this sound like an ingition switch problem, or maybe the indicator relay?

Having the usual jokes about Italian electrics, but the bikes been brilliant last 6 years. Hard to shake off the stereotypes for these bikes.

I would have said it was a corroded contact/s on one of your indicators because if you put a bulb in which is the wrong wattage ie different resistance than that intended to be used this can cause all the indicators to stay lit once activated but you say that they stayed on even when the ignition was turned off which is a whole different scenario??
Do you have an alarm/immobiliser fitted by any chance?

Hi
Yes, its had a Meta alarm fitted from new. Immobiliser I think is the Aprilia one.

It's very difficult to try and diagnose electrical issues without seeing the bike but purely due to the fact you say that the indicators stayed lit even when the ignition was turned off would suggest to me that it's been an glitch with the alarm.
But like I say without seeing the bike it's a shot in the dark,

Hi

Yes, I think you're both right. When the immobiliser kicked in, the indicatorS went out. Been out all day today and its been fine. I put some new battery's in the alarm fob as well, just in case..
Hopefully it'll be ok now.
Thanks for the advice.
