AF1 do the official aprilia part that plugs in so you can remove the stand for the track, all it does is shorts the 2 outer wires

I had to bypass mine lately, that was the cause of my cutting out problem. Took all of 15 mins to do :)

Remove left hand side panel under tank. Follow wire from sidestand up to the block connector near the framespar and undo.

Take two small spade connectors and a very short piece of wire.

Look at the kickstand switch block connector. You will see three terminals.

Connect up the two outermost terminals with the aforementioned piece of wire and spade connectors. Thats it bypassed, but be aware, you will not get any warning of the stand being down via the dash light. :thumbup

15 mins to to put a wire in a connector block?

:doug

that sounds really fast mate. can you do mine?

More than happy to help if your local. My sidestand switch was worn right through so I just cut the wire off switch side and wired the outers together. Peice of cake and like I say, 15 mins tops.

8 times i had to start my bike the other day because of the stupid sidestand switch, its coming off tonight. Cheers guys

why would you not just spend out on a proper new switch rather than bodging it? i can understand if it's a track only bike without a sidestand, but not a road bike :dunno

Cos if you replace it with another, it in turn will **** up too. not bodging rewiring properly :devious
