Anyone who ordered there side from Gary on ebay should have it by now, mine came today. I know it's a talked about subject but I can say for us with UK bikes it makes one big difference. The lean angle is noticeable straight away and it feels extremely sturdy. A vast improvement from the original.

Have you got a link to the ebay item if they are still for sale? I could well be interested in one. Any before and after pic's with it fitted?? would be good to see the differance

Thanks

not got mine yet ...but will do before and after ...
when it finally gets here lol...prolly monday

Yep i have one and like you say Ozzie it makes one hell of a difference, cracking bloke as well goes out of his way to help. The only suggestion i would have is that i needed to use another washer as a spacer to give it the perfect feel. Gary had said he was going to include this washer in the future.

Go buy they are great

:cheers

Mine turned up yesterday. The bike feels much more stable which is weird as the angle it sits at doesn't look any more extreme. New battery gets fitted tomorrow and a good thrash will follow.

Does that mean ya can run off to the boozers with confidence now?

As long as i dont park on mates ***** tar:thumbdown, no stand would be able to cope with that! Well at least my bike tested the thickness of their tar for them.

Still bike sits one whore of a lot better like:thumbup

:cheers

No ebay stand for me yet.... :dunno

Fingers crossed the postie will bring it this morning, although it ain't going to be much fun fitting it in the snow! :rolleyes

2006 Blade stand on mine. I bought one of Garys stands last August but when i finally received it he'd made the bracket to the wrong dimensions and it wouldnt fit. He sent me another, which never turned up. Finally, another arrived and it wouldnt fit either. Turned out he'd sent me an old Falco stand he also makes, when he got it back and had a look at it. By that time well over a month had gone by, i'd been to the post office 6 times posting back and forth so i just gave up and had my money back. I got the blade stand for £25. Which is half what Gary charges for his on ebay. He is a nice enough bloke though.

Just fitted one of Garys - had to spend half hour filing some rough patches off until it fitted. Suspect he doesn't try them out before sending them out.

absolute APPALLING product.....****** ***** took agesss to get on .
in fact i took it off..but original back on ......(which took no time wotsoever)
the pivot dosnt even fit back in properley(leaves a gap) , then u need superhuman strength , to kick the fukker up and down !! also
loads of welding on the inside also stops it fitting proper(gotta be filed off ) like the previous poster said....

i actually think he sent me the wrong one..
the arm where the spring goes on the new stand is like 4 times longer , than on the original
which causes springback problems ...
ill be fukked if im waiting another month ....:lol

**** gents, sorry to hear of the problems honestly mine was a piece of piss to fit. Was stiff for the first couple of operations but once it settled in it was fine. No need for any work looked spot on.

now then m8s i put an 06 blade stand on mine got mate to put a blob of weld on the stop because it was hitting exhaust pipe .then ground it off slightly so it just misses it and does not look to far away from pipe spot on no probs

Having read most of the side stand threads here and in the RSV Zone, I gather the general consensus is to avoid the dodgy after-market ones and just buy one from an 04-06 Blade. I looked around on the web (there are a few used part search engines that contact a bunch of bike breakers for you) and got a brand new one (complete with bracket and switch) for £20 including VAT. (The company in question had converted a brand new bike into a race bike and this was left over). The stands are out there for a lot less than £60 if you look around.
